Representative Text

1 Watoto njooni Bethlehemu,
njooni zizini kuona makuu
Mungu aliyotutendea leo,
watoto waone furaha kubwa.

2 Twaona Mtoto mzuri hapa,
wazee wamtazama, wanafuahi!
Wachungaji wote wanamwangukia,
malaika wa mbingu wanamwimbia.

3 Pigeni magoti na wachungaji!
Wakubwa, wadogo tumnyenyekee!
Tuimbe na sisi kwa furaha kuu
nyimbo za kumsifu Mwokozi Yesu!

4 Watoka mbinguni utuokoe,
waona uchungu sababu yetu,
leo wazaliwa mwana kikiwa.
Halafu wateswa, unatufia.

5 Twapenda kukupa mioyo yetu,
twataka kukutumikia vema.
Takasa mioyo ikupendeze,
tupate kufika kwako mbinguni.
